Travel Notice for flight changes due to COVID-19

We understand that current circumstances create uncertainty regarding your upcoming travel. If your plans have been affected by the current pandemic, use this page to learn how to modify or cancel your flight.
The Dominican Civil Aviation Institute (IDAC) has announced the opening of air borders, moving forward with safety and sanitation measures implemented by governmental authorities. For these reasons, Air Century has restarted its regular operations to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Havana, Cuba, St. Maarten, and Aruba.
Due to uncertainty regarding the resumption date of our flights to and from Curaçao, Air Century is not currently accepting change requests for tickets to this destination. We are still waiting for the opening of the borders in these destinations.

We know these are difficult times for everyone and we appreciate your patience and understanding. To protect our staff and comply with quarantine measures we have modified our hours of operation and limited our employees’ exposure to COVID-19. Any news or update of our regular operations will be published on our social networks such as Instagram and Facebook.
Air Century remains in permanent contact with aviation and health authorities and closely follows developments related to COVID-19 in order to implement all official requirements and recommendations.
For all itinerary cancellations affected by the closing of borders, we are offering a voucher credit you may use to rebook your flight on a later date. All vouchers are valid for one year from the date of reopening of your destination. If your flight was due to depart from March 20th – May 25th, but didn’t due to the coronavirus situation, your voucher credit was automatically generated.
Once you are ready to rebook your flight or use the credit of your canceled ticket, Air Century will apply a temporary suspension of the change fees and penalties for all tickets issued from March 15 to June 30th 2020.
* The suspension of change fees can only be applied for the first change. Any subsequent changes will be applicable to additional charges.

My flight was canceled due to the lockdown. What to do?
To protect your purchase, Air Century is applying a temporary change penalty cancellation policy. Once the lockdown is lifted, you can use your ticket without any change penalty fee through a voucher (travel credit).
How does a voucher or a travel credit work?
If due to exceptional circumstances, your flight with us has been canceled, we offer you the opportunity to reserve the amount you paid in the form of Flight Credit, to be used in future reservations.
This credit can be used with up to one year of validity from your purchase date. Once it is time to make the change you want, just write to us with your ticket number or reservation code and your new travel date.
Why can't I change my booking?
Due to the uncertainty regarding the date of reopening of commercial flights to and from the Dominican Republic, Air Century is not accepting change requests at the moment.
Will there be special flights for stranded residents?
For any questions regarding repatriations or special flights you should contact the embassy of your country of residence. Air Century provides charter flights for this purpose in coordination with embassies and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
